IDN spanish and catalan for domains .com and .net
April 11, 2007
We have incorporated to our domain registration web the IDN spanish and catalan for the extensions .com and .net. From now on if you want to register a domain with any IDN character in www.entorno.es you will be able to do it without any problem.
What is more, if you already have registered domains in another registering you can bring them to Entorno, like if it was a .com or .net.
Remember that this gives you the opportunity of registering names which are not in use, with letters like “ñ”, or “ç” or accents. Verify it yourself on our searcher.
Un Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) ) is a domain name for internet which contains characters no ASCII. These type of domains can contain characters with accents or specific letters for a language, for example the “ñ”, is required in many european languages, like spanish. In our application we have incorporated the following characters for the spanish and catalan language, for the extension of domain .com and .net:
Spanish
á, é, í, ñ, ó, ú, ü
Catalan
à, è, é, í, ï, ò, ó, ú, ü, ç, l•l
This gives you the possibility of registering .com and .net domains with these characters in our web.
Ej.: www.delta-españa.com
www.barça.net
The new browsers versions already recognize these characters.
